Removing Surveys

Right-click a survey in the site/survey tree and select Delete Survey. You can select multiple surveys and delete them in one go. This removes the survey, its data folder on disk, and associated polygons. For Master surveys it also removes targets, cells, and inversions.

Archiving Instead of Deleting

Right-click a survey and select Exclude to hide it without deleting anything. Use Include to bring it back. This is the safest option if you might need the data later.

Bulk Deleting All Surveys in a Site

In the Site Panel, right-click a site node and select Delete Surveys. This deletes all surveys under that site except Master surveys.

Removing a Site from a Project

Right-click a site and select Unattach Site. This removes the site from the current project view but does not delete the site or its data. Unattach All Sites is available at the root level.

Deleting an Entire Project

On the About/BT screen, click Delete Project. Registered/shipped projects require launching BTField with /PWD and entering the admin password. A confirmation dialog is required.

Full Machine Wipe (Redeploy)

On the About/BT screen, click Redeploy. This deletes all surveys in all sites (except factory reference and library items), then all projects (except the Test project). Requires Windows admin privileges and the admin password. This is intended for redeploying a machine to a new project.

Closing Without Deleting

Close Survey from the site right-click menu just unloads the survey from memory. Nothing is deleted.
